I question the truthfulness of the responders to this poll. Mainly because of the “Jalopnik bias”.
brown, diesel, manual,wagon/hot hatch and “the answer is always Miata”.
Let the onslaught begin

I think it’s accurate. Remember that more than half of those that took the survey either do not, have never, or never plan to own a Miata. So after that, only like 20 people are left that can answer the rest of poll.

Also many people did not see or did not choose to answer the poll. So it may be heavily weighted by Miata owners who were more likely to answer it. (I did not see it)

Why? I never saw the poll but I have a ‘91 silver NA Miata with three pedals that I autocross and daily drive.
It’s the ideal car for that purpose having a suitably sized trunk, decent aftermarket radio, great heat/AC, and soft enough ride for my daily commute, while remaining light and tossable enough to be loads of fun ‘round the cones.
The wind noise, though. Oh dear god the wind noise.

To a certain degree I envy you. My only experience driving one was not an enjoyable experience. I guess I am too tall. With the top up, I felt like my head would act as a roll bar in an accident.

These results seem accurate based on the people I know who have miatas. Although if people don’t have a Miata I don’t know how likely they would have been to take the survey.

OPPO clearly needs a drag Miata.
